Since I stayed in Motueka for that long, it’s time to share with you the most attractive location——Abel Tasman National Park
I am that kind person who like natural place so much, And this make my main purpose to NZ is to experience the multi-days trekking. The journey that overnight in mountain cottage, the journey to the lost world. However, unluckily it’s winter and this stopped me from many track.
So, let me introduce you the only track I went, Abel Tasman. Abel Tasman is one of the seven great walks in NZ, which famous with kayak and emerald ocean. It’s also the easiest great walk among the seven.
The only point you have to take note is the tide time. Because there are some tracks will be filled by water during high tide. It’s better to plan earlier with the tide time if you don’t want to stuck or extra journey.
There are 3 ways to complete this track: walk, kayak and ride.
- Walk : Enjoy the scene across the ocean, never miss out every details of the ocean. But it’ll get boring after a long walk.
- Kayak : Rent a kayak and explore the ocean, kayak under the bridge, kayak with the seal…
- Ride : Since the track is one way route, by riding water taxi, you can easily skipped all the track and return to the departure point. Most of the people will choose 2 ways for this track.
For this time, we chose to walk there and ride back. And thanks for our host for renting her village over the beach!
Lastly, let enjoy the journey from the picture!
