Journey of 8000km~

After staying 1 weeks in Malacca, it’s time for me to depart to Singapore.
The Overall Route is:
Malacca > Queen Street (SG) > Bugis MRT > Changi Airport > Auckland Airport > Ashley Homestay.

1st of april 10am, I go Singapore by using 707 Travel Service.
Cost: RM 23
Because of the efficiency of campony, the bus only stop at SG immigration for 20min…
And this cause me missed the bus because of some delay at immigration of SG…
Again, because of the efficiency, I can take the next hour bus to Queen St. with no extra charge~

What I learn is early departure is a must!

Bugis MRT station is located 600m from Queen St.
A MRT Ticket to Changi Airport can be brought in Bugis MRT Station.
But There is a MRT changed in Tanah Merah Station.


Cost : 2 SGD + 10 cen (for the deposit of the card)

The MRT station is in between Terminal 2 and 3…
But what I want to go is Terminal 1…

So I take the sky train from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1~
Although the name of sky train is Train, but it was operate by a bus wheel
Cost: Free~

After check-in my 15kg luggage, I have my lunch+dinner in Burger King (because Miri don’t have any)
When I reached Information Center, there is a china uncle who lost his luggage…
His try to explain the situation but the reception don’t really know chinese…
Since I can understand both, I become their translator…

Finally, I knew the reason why we learn english speaking in school!

Back to Burger King, I brought a Double Cheese Swiss…
Cost: 8 SGD
At the same time I arrange my document and give them a show~


Lastly, entered the waiting hall, prepare to depart!

Bye Asia~

On the Flight:

(Surprised by the temperature outside! -51’C)

Next time I want middle seat too…

Flight Meal~
Cost: 35 SGD!!! (I brought it because I can’t expect what will happen in the 10 hours~)
And now I knew that brought 4 burger king on plane was the better choice!
 

The Scambled Egg is really special!
On the left side is steamed egg but i think it mixed with potato…
Right side is grilled potato with mushroom…
And middle is meat, and i think is lamb…
This meal make my 35 SGD reasonable (a little bit)

Waiting for sunrise~

 

Finally, I saw the NZ Great Land!

 

Also have something familiar

The first cloud shot in Airport is already stunned my heart~

That’s my first day to NZ…
Have to find job quickly or not i’ll be broken~

Journey changed to 23th…

Because of some reason, my flight to NZ changed to 1st of april…
To avoid any changes, I decided fly to Malacca first, and I can go SG anytime by bus~
After another price comparison, 
I found that there is promotion for the ticket from Sibu to KL on 26th of April~
And I’ll be Life Game in Sibu when 23rd to 26th…
So 23rd will be the beginning of my Journey~

To be strict, it started on midnight of 22nd…
Because the camp start on 11 morning of 23rd, and the journey to Sibu is about 8 hours…
So I had to take to latest bus from Miri which was 10pm on 22nd with my friend…

At first I was thinking to use MTC Express for Sibu Trip, but unfortunately it don’t provide night trip…
So I took a bus from Vital Focus Group… (forgot the name of bus…)
My comment is, the seat provided is too small!!!
Especially for the people with long leg, like me…
I had to put my leg on the walkway so that I can have a conform trip~

After 7 hours, the bus arrived Sibu…
Although it reached earlier than schedule, this provide me a chance to watch of Sibu night scene~

Next, I spend my time in Life Game…
I really thanks God for planning this camp as the starting of my journey!

2pm on 26th, I back from campsite to Sibu…
Since the flight in 9pm, so I made a visit in Lau Memorial…

Not really interest the historical relic because I am not Bio-Basic student…

Because of price to Airport for Taxi and Public Bus have a huge different (RM2 vs RM35)
And I still have a tone of time to spend, I decided use the public bus to airport…
As we know the public transport in Malaysia is really bad, especially in east Malaysia…
This will be a big challenge to me!

After asking, I knew that “Sibu Jaya” bus will pass by the airport~
But after the bus travel for 1 hour, I still didn’t see any sign of airport…
The outer view turning rural and the airport signboard was disappeared~
I start panic and asked a uncle behind me…
He told:”still have 30 minutes drive”
I felt relieved with the answer and enjoy the rural scene around me~

5 minutes later, finally I saw an airport sign “Airport 4km”~
Actually the bus is using a old route, so there have no sign of airport for a few distance…
The bus dropped me at the airport junction and I have to walk about 200m to airport~
200m is nothing for me since I am still young! (Another reason is 200m save me RM32)

9pm flight, 11pm reached KL, 1am bus, 2.30am reached Malacca…
Tonight gonna be a long night for me…
Basically I couldn’t sleep at all because timing is extremely important!
But Thanks God for giving my laptop and some bread brought from Sibu to survive…

Journey Start from 5th of April~

Flight ticket to NZ will be the first thing I need to be done…
Since I have insufficient fund and the trip is that far…
Budge Airlines Will be my first Choice~

Things I consider are:

  1. Less transit is better

    Because of luggage fee,
    transit/airline change too much will also increase the luggage fee~

  2. Transit time have to be short

    For Malaysia normally we travel to NZ via Australiua…
    If the transit time is long, I have to spend some money for food…
    In Australia, all food are more than 10AUD which mean RM30+
    It’s not worth to spend in Australia~

After research, the best way to travel was : Miri>SG>NZ
there was a direct flight from SG to NZ, which mean less transit…

Basically, the Budget Airline I chose was:

Yerterday, I found that 5th of april was the cheapest Air Ticket…
And today Air Asia have promotion for Miri>SG,
So I booked the flight from Miri>SG on 5th of april early in the morning…

Today, JetStar has another promotion for to flight to NZ!
All the Ticket become cheaper, and only the 5th of april remain same!
My heart is really……… (Un-Describable)

Now I have the ticket from Miri>SG…
If i choose the flight to NZ on 5th of april, I have to pay 70 SGD more.
(Actually this was the price I’ll pay if there was no promotion…)
And the 5th of april flight have to transit is Melbourne for 6 hours…
If there are any expenses, it will be 3 times to RM!

If I change the flight to earlier…
Then i’ll have to burn the Miri>SG ticket (RM99)
and also maybe my Life Game Camp Fee (RM130)
It not a wise choice~

Finally, I decided stay in SG for 1 days…
Then take the flight to NZ on 6th of April~

Conclusion:

Flight Time Amount
MIRI > SG (Air Asia) 2 Hours RM99
(Luggage excluded)
SG > NZ (Jetstar) 10 hours 443SGD
(Included Luggage and food, it is impossible for me to stay hungry for 10 hours!)

The total flight ticket cost me about RM1200!
It was almost half of my saving…
Look like I have to work hard when i reached there~

After so much struggling, finally come out with the conclusion

5th of april will be the beginning of NZ Jouney
It’s time to prepare myself, and left everything to God~

And what I learned is…

Tickets of Budget Airline are changing all the time, must make a choice wisely!
